I Sold My SETH — When Am I Going to Receive ETH?
This is the question we hear most from sellers.
You sent your Sepolia ETH to the SellPolia vault. The transaction confirmed. Your order shows up in the dashboard.
So where is your ETH?
The short answer: you get paid when somebody buys your SETH.
Selling Isn't the Mirror Image of Buying
Many people assume selling works like buying, just in reverse.
It doesn't.
When you buy, the market is already stocked. You pay, and SETH is delivered to your Sepolia address from the queue or the SellPolia reserve.
When you sell, you are putting SETH into the market. Your deposit becomes an order in the queue.
That's a listing, not a sale.
For you to actually receive real ETH on Base, a buyer has to come along and buy your Sepolia ETH.
First Come, First Served
The emphasis on your matters, because you're probably not alone in the queue.
The SellPolia queue is strictly first come, first served. Every purchase fills the oldest orders first. If other sellers deposited before you, their orders get filled before yours.
Your order starts filling only after buyers have bought everything queued ahead of it.
And the SellPolia reserve doesn't jump in to buy your SETH either. It only steps in to serve buyers once the seller queue has run out. Your order is filled by real buyers, nothing else.
From Sold to Paid
Once a buyer fills your order, the rest is automatic:
- Sold. You earn your tier price for every SETH sold, locked in at the moment of the sale.
- Threshold. When your total sold balance reaches 10 SETH, you're included in the next payout.
- Paid. Payouts run once a day. You receive ETH on Base at your payout address, converted from what you're owed at the ETH/USD price at payout time.

Here's the part most sellers miss: you can help.
Sepolia ETH is used by developers. They need it to deploy contracts, test wallets and run their apps before going to mainnet. And many of them are out there right now, asking where to get it.
Go find them:
- Reddit. Developer communities regularly have posts from people stuck on faucets or asking where to get Sepolia ETH.
- X (Twitter). Search for things like "Sepolia ETH", "Sepolia faucet" or "need testnet ETH".
- Discord and Telegram. Developer servers and hackathon groups are full of people asking the same thing.
